Thanksgiving weekend

Nothing like posting about Thanksgiving after Christmas. I figure it's never too late to be thankful. :)
This year I'm thankful for:
... family that comes to us so we can stay put with a new baby.
... lots of fun with family, mucho yummy food and plenty of belly laughs.
... "big" cousins who are great with the "little" cousins.

... little girls who like to help me decorate for Christmas.

... a calm dog that puts up with kids.

... beautiful weather and the chance to play outside in the end of November.

... a dad who finally has time to relax and play after years and years of hard work.

... a wonderful mom who loves my girls and has supported me completely as I continue to develop as a mom.

... a new handmade comforter for our new King size bed.
Thanks mom!

... three healthy, beautiful girls who love each other more than they fight.

... family with a good sense of humor. At Becca's baby shower we played a wonderful game of "name that poop"... Adrienne was a little concerned, but you don't need to be. They were just candy bars. :)
We had a great time with my family celebrating Thanksgiving, throwing a baby shower for my niece Becca, and then celebrating Christmas. It was a busy weekend, but a lot of fun.

SNOW!!!

We got the girls a sled for Christmas this year. So being the strong parents we are ... we gave it to them after the first great snowfall. :) We made them cover their eyes so it was a surprise. At least Morgan did.
Morgan jumped on right away and loved every second of Dave pulling her around the yard. I loved hearing her laugh. She even loved falling off and getting snow everywhere. I was impressed since Morgan can lean toward the drama side. :)
Of course I was watching all this from the kitchen where I stood holding Samantha. I was laughing so hard there were tears rolling down my face. Watching Morgan have so much fun just made me happy. Her laughter was contagious. But I think what sent me to the level of tears was the stark difference between Morgan and Adrienne.
Adrienne ... well this is the look we got from her when we asked her if she wanted a ride. I was really surprised how angry she seemed to be about the snow covered yard.
So the only thing to bring a smile to Adrienne's face was putting her in the swing.
Morgan decided to swing too ... but before long she was asking for more rides on the sled.

Morgan had a great time playing in the snow (and eating it too).

We'll keep working on Adrienne.

Socks

Or as Adrienne calls them "ocks".
"Ocks Mama Ocks!!!"
I hear this many times each and every day. Adrienne has been obsessed with taking off her own socks. Now she has started to take off Samantha's socks too. By the urgency and excitement in her voice as she screams "Ocks Mama Ocks!" you would think those socks were ready to eat Samantha up starting with her tiny toes.

Adrienne beat me to Samantha after one of her naps today. This was the scene I found. By now you know what she was telling me. :)

For the moment Samantha doesn't seem to mind.
