Baby Bump Pictures

Darcy came over last night to take some pictures of our family while I was still sporting the baby bump.

I'm really excited about how they turned out!

Dave was able to get some pictures of Morgan and I with my Baby Adrienne bump. This time around is a little harder since there are now 2 big sisters.

So I decided to have Darcy come.

I wanted to make sure we got some good pictures since this may be the last time a have a baby bump.

That is still up for debate. :)

So here are my favorites. I know there are a lot, but this is the best I could do on editing.

Take It Easy

"Take it easy for the next week to 10 days."

That's what my midwife told me yesterday after checking me at 35 weeks to find that I was dilated to 2, 70% effaced and the baby's head was at a -1 to 0 position (right there).

Easier said then done.

How do you "take it easy" when you are at home with two little girls that are full of energy.

After getting the news that this baby may be coming any time, my natural reaction is to think of everything I want to do before the baby comes.

It is especially hard for me to sit still when I fell better now then I have for the past month or so.

My bag is packed.

We have a list of people to call to come stay with the girls.

So I will do my best to take it easy.

At least I got in a fun night of Bunco before being told to sit still. :)

First Day of Preschool

Morgan had her first day of preschool yesterday and LOVED it!

While waiting in the drop off line she told me that she was going to be scared.

However when it was her turn to get out, she kissed Adrienne and was ready to hop out of the van with hardly a good-bye for her dear sweet Mom.

Since I asked, she was nice enough to give me a quick kiss. :)

When we went back to pick Morgan up she was all smiles!

She told Adrienne and I all about her time.

Her favorite part of the first day was painting.

This morning when she woke up she asked if she could go to preschool again today.

I can't believe she is in preschool already!

I can't wait to see how she grows and develops in this upcoming year.

Gone Fishin'

This past weekend we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Chupp's for our last road trip before the baby. The weather was great and we had a great time!

Dave and Art love fishing. This weekend Morgan got her first experience with fishing - the exciting and the not so exciting.

First things first ... they needed bait.

So Dave and Morgan went hunting for crickets.

Morgan had a blast!

Once up from her nap, Adrienne joined the fishing crew.

Morgan had no fear of the jumping crickets, but the flopping fish was too much for her. She wanted to be part of the fishing process, but not get too close.
Adrienne on the other hand would have grabbed the fish right off the hook if we would have let her.

Since fishing takes a lot of patience, more then Morgan and Adrienne have, we decided to take a break from fishing.

Before long, OK actually it seemed like a really LONG time, Dave was yelling for the girls to come over.

He had something ...

a 20" catfish!

Morgan helped Dave out with a few cranks on the reel, but soon turned it back over to him. All the jumping and flopping of the fish freaked her out.

So after some time Dave and Art caught enough fish for a tasty meal.

Sunday we decided to give Steve and Art's "new" boat a spin around the pond. Of course all the little ones wanted to be part of the action. Sarah and Donna were in charge of making sure all the little ones stayed in the boat. Dave and I did our best to paddle the troops around the pond.

It was fun while it lasted.

But truth be told ... it didn't last very long.
I guess not much does with this kind of crowd, and that's OK. :)

I had to include one picture of these two cuties. Grace is 6 months older the Adrienne. The age gap seems to shrink a little more every time we see them. They really had a great time together this weekend.

I have the feeling that these two might be a dangerous duo in the future.

Only time will tell.

32 Week Baby Bump

For those of you that are interested in the status of my baby belly I thought I would post another picture. I'm actually 33 weeks now, but the picture was taken last week.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was having a lot of contractions followed by abdominal pain. I am still having a lot of contractions and some pain, but over all I am feeling much better then I was at the time of that post. I have been trying to limit my running around with the girls, which isn't easy, but just what we have to do right now. I feel kind of bad for the girls, but they have been good about it. Another big factor is Dave. He is always a very "active" dad. But he has stepped in even more in the past couple of weeks which makes a huge difference!

I am really lucky to have him!

This baby is crazy active, much like Adrienne was.

Morgan recently figured out that if she lays her head on my belly the baby will kick her. So now if I'm reading to her she often wants to lay her head on my belly to feel the baby.

She also talks a lot about the baby moving in her belly. Then she looks at me with a silly grin and assures me that it will be a long time before she has a baby in her belly.

That's right Morgan ... a LONG time!
